Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Platform Engineering Manager to lead our SaaS platform engineering team. This role is pivotal in shaping our AWS-based infrastructure strategy, enhancing developer experience (DevEx), and ensuring cost-effective, secure, and scalable platform operations. You will manage a team of platform engineers, collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, security, and product teams, and drive initiatives that improve platform reliability, compliance, and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers focused on AWS infrastructure, DevEx tooling, and automation.
• Define and execute platform strategy aligned with product and engineering goals.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on AWS.
• Champion developer experience by driving improvements in internal tooling, onboarding workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for platform performance, reliability, and team productivity.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to guide platform evolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Expertise with developer portals, internal CLI tools, or platform SDKs.
• Proficiency with CI/CD, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).
• It should be managing Git repositories, enforcing branching strategies, ensuring secure access to enable efficient developer collaboration
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Track record of improving DevEx through automation, documentation, and tooling.
• Experience in any IDP tool (eg, Backstage, Cortex, and so on).
• Deploy and optimize AI assistance for developers.
• Applications, scaffolding, blueprints to standardize, technology, and practices across the organization.

Nice to Have:

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
• Good understanding of security compliance frameworks and best practices
