We are hiring our first Field Engineering Leader to build and lead our technical field organization. You'll be responsible for developing our field engineering function from the ground up, working directly with customers to ensure successful deployments, and partnering with Sales and Product teams to drive revenue growth. This is a critical role that will help position us for our next stage of growth.

What you'll do

  • Build, lead, and scale the field engineering team, establishing best practices and processes for technical pre-sales and post-sales support

  • Partner with Sales to drive technical win strategies, lead product demonstrations, and conduct proof-of-concept implementations

  • Serve as the technical authority in customer engagements, articulating Crogl's value proposition to security leaders and technical practitioners

  • Design and deliver technical workshops, training sessions, and enablement programs for customers and partners

  • Act as the bridge between customers and Product/Engineering teams, gathering requirements and advocating for customer needs

  • Develop technical content including solution architectures, integration guides, and best practice documentation

  • Drive customer success by ensuring smooth implementations, technical adoption, and ongoing optimization

  • Travel regularly to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support field activities (30-40%)

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure field engineering effectiveness and customer technical health

What you bring to the team

  • 7+ years of experience in field engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting roles in Cybersecurity

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a security practitioner (SOC analyst, security engineer, threat hunter, or similar role)

  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing technical teams

  • Deep expertise in security operations technologies including SIEM, XDR, SOAR, threat detection, and SOC workflows

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex architectures and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences

  • Strategic mindset with excellent communication skills across all levels, from CISOs to security analysts

  • Experience designing and executing technical proof-of-concepts and enterprise deployments

  • Data-driven approach with experience using metrics to improve team performance and customer outcomes

What makes you stand out from other candidates

  • Experience building field engineering teams from scratch in early-stage startups

  • Background in security engineering, threat detection engineering, or SOC automation

  • Technical certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, or relevant cloud/security platform certifications

  • Experience with API integrations, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and security data formats (STIX, MITRE ATT&CK)

  • Track record of supporting complex enterprise sales cycles exceeding $500K ACV

  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills with experience speaking at industry conferences or events

  • Previous experience with GTM strategy, competitive positioning, or product marketing
