As a Senior Content Strategist, you will contribute to shaping, governing, and scaling content inside complex product experiences. You will operate as a content design leader, partnering with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to ensure in-product content is clear, consistent, and accessible across the user experience. You will use research, standards, and data to drive content decisions that help users confidently achieve their goals.Your Mission
- Partner closely with UX, Product, Engineering, and Research to understand user needs, mental models, and business goals, translating them into clear, consistent, and scalable content decisions across the product.
- Own and evolve in‑product content strategy, including voice and tone, terminology, information hierarchy, and content patterns that support usability, trust, and comprehension across workflows, modules, and platforms.
- Design and deliver UX copy and product content that is concise, accurate, accessible, and aligned with branding, accessibility standards, and evolving InfoSec and privacy requirements.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert in assigned domains, enabling the creation of content that helps users confidently navigate complex technical, security, and compliance concepts.
- Use research‑driven methods (including usability testing, content testing, and evaluative research) to validate content decisions and advocate for improvements based on evidence rather than opinion.
- Develop and apply content measurement strategies to assess content effectiveness using metrics such as task success, error reduction, comprehension, etc.
- Continuously optimize content through content audits and workflow reviews, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve the end‑to‑end customer journey.
- Contribute to and help govern content standards and design‑system guidance, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across teams and products.
- Advocate for content design and strategy best practices, helping stakeholders understand the role of content in usability, decision‑making, and product quality.
- Collaborate with fellow content strategists to share patterns, templates, and learnings, raising the overall quality and maturity of content practice across the organization.
You Are
/Have- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, and UX writing for digital products, with demonstrated ownership of end‑to‑end content decisions.
- Strong user‑centered orientation grounded in understanding user behavior, mental models, and moments of friction, with a proven ability to guide users through complex workflows without blocking progress.
- Demonstrated experience researching complex domains and partnering closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape content as part of the overall UX.
- Proven ability to work within and contribute to established design systems and content standards, using them to drive consistency, scalability, and quality across products.
- Experience designing scalable content strategies that account for customer organizations of varying sizes, goals, and maturity levels, and tailoring content accordingly.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to synthesize diverse inputs (product, research, legal, customer, and technical) and lead content discussions with clarity, authority, and tact.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments, managing multiple workstreams, balancing competing priorities, and making pragmatic tradeoffs aligned with product timelines.
- Experience thoughtfully leveraging AI‑enabled tools within the content and design process (e.g. research synthesis, content exploration, pattern development, prototyping, or workflow efficiency), without losing critical eye towards accuracy, privacy, and responsible use.
- Continuous learning mindset, seeking feedback, research insights, and emerging practices to refine content strategy and raise the quality of the overall content system.
- A portfolio demonstrating strategic content thinking and UX writing, including examples that show problem framing, rationale, and impact—not just final copy.
- Experience working in InfoSec, privacy, or other highly regulated industries is a strong plus.
- Experience delivering content for a global, multilingual, or distributed audience is a plus, including awareness of localization, accessibility, and cultural considerations.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
