About the Role:
We are looking for a Full-stack AI builder who can go from concept to production-ready prototype in days. Responsible for:
- Shipping working demos with LLMs, agents, and APIs
- Building with Semantic Kernel, Vercel, vector DBs
- Ideating and exploring new AI use cases and UX patterns
- Writing reusable boilerplate and documenting lessons learned
- Collaborating with a designer and a Microsoft expert to unlock full-stack innovation
What You’ll Do:
- Rapid AI Development: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of building MVPs—from ideation to deployed MVP (frontend, backend, model orchestration, UI polish).
- AI Feature Innovation: Design and prototype AI-native user experiences (RAG, agents, multimodal interfaces, embeddings, voice/chat, multi-agent orchestration, etc.).
- Tool Integration: Integrate foundation models (OpenAI, Claude, open source), vector DBs, third-party APIs, and internal tools.
- Code, Ship, Iterate: Work in short cycles (1–3 weeks) to validate ideas with working code, not slide decks.
- Research Translation: Bridge bleeding-edge AI research into practical applications. Stay up-to-date with model capabilities and ecosystem tools.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with product, design, and research to explore UX/tech possibilities and co-create product spikes.
- Open Source & Demos: Maintain demoable GitHub repos and open projects to share team learnings and attract contributors.
What You Need to Succeed
Proven track record of building and launching side projects or startups (ideally with a strong GitHub/public portfolio).
Strength in:
- Frontend (React/Next.js, Tailwind, Vercel)
- Backend (Node, Python, serverless or edge compute preferred)
- AI toolchains (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, HuggingFace, vector DBs, RAG, Semantic Kernel and Autogen knowledge is a plus)
- Experience wiring up APIs, building full-stack apps, and deploying fast.
- Strong product sense—can translate fuzzy ideas into testable experiences quickly.
- Bonus: contributions to open source, AI dev tooling, or community-driven features.
Key Traits:
- Builder's DNA: You love to ship. You get energy from working code, not decks.
- Curious: Always testing out new AI APIs, features, and open source projects.
- Fast & Iterative: You ship in days, not months. You’re allergic to over-planning.
- Product-Oriented: You think about UX, not just APIs. You believe AI UX is still a frontier to be invented.
- Independent: You don’t need a spec—you create it through prototyping.
- Community-Engaged: You might have a newsletter, GitHub repo, or AI blog. You want your work to be seen and useful.
