About the Role:
Sitecore is experiencing strong global growth, and we are looking for an Accounting Manager to support and scale our core financial close and controls. This role will own key areas of the balance sheet and P&L, while partnering closely with FP&A and cross-functional stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and highly organised team player who is technically strong and committed to continuous improvement. You should be comfortable supporting global general accounting, identifying efficiencies, and improving processes, while thriving in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritising both individual and team objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage month-end close across multiple entities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review and approve accounting journals (e.g., payroll, accruals, prepayments, intercompany, bank, debt).
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and support Senior Accountants during the close process.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including variance analysis for management.
- Lead key accounting processes, including intercompany, treasury, leases (IFRS16), payroll, accruals, and R&D capitalization.
- Manage and mentor a team of six accountants, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality work.
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, and other teams on financial initiatives and reporting.
- Support VAT reporting in EMEA, statutory audits, and tax-related requirements.
- Contribute to finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent certification.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with internal controls and maintaining strong financial governance.
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is considered an advantage.
- Experience in the tech industry or a similar high-growth environment is preferred.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to implement modern, automated accounting solutions, including AI-enabled processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
