About the Role:
Sitecore is seeking a Head of Compliance & Employment Law, reporting to the General Counsel, to lead our global employment law function and ethics and compliance programme.
This is a senior leadership role with broad international scope. You will partner closely with Legal, People, Privacy, Security, and other business leaders to build practical, scalable frameworks that support growth, manage risk, and promote a culture of integrity. You will advise on complex and sensitive employment matters across jurisdictions, oversee core compliance programmes and investigations governance, and help modernise the policies, processes, and training that underpin how we operate.
This role is ideal for a senior lawyer and compliance leader who combines strong technical judgment with practical execution, and who is comfortable operating across strategic, operational, and sensitive matters in a fast-moving global business.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the global employment law function, advising legal and HR stakeholders across the employment lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, discipline, grievances, investigations, reorganisations, terminations, working time, leave and accommodation matters, contingent workforce issues, and employment disputes
- Develop and maintain strong global employment foundations, including handbooks, template documentation, onboarding materials, and related processes, working with local counsel where needed
- Partner with People and business leaders on employment-related compliance and organisational change initiatives, helping identify risk, design practical controls, and drive implementation through completion
- Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, commercial arrangements, and business changes where workforce transition, integration, or employee risk is relevant
- Lead and continue to mature Sitecore’s global ethics and compliance programme, including policies, training, governance, and key controls
- Own compliance governance and programme management, including documentation, audit readiness, remediation tracking, and reporting on key themes, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders
- Oversee investigations governance across integrity and workplace matters, including intake, triage, routing, escalation protocols, documentation standards, and coordination across Legal, HR, Privacy, Security, and other functions as needed
- Oversee integrity-related elements of third-party risk, including screening, due diligence, monitoring, remediation pathways, and the conflicts of interest disclosure programme
- Partner closely with the Data Protection team, Security, and other stakeholders on privacy, AI-adjacent, and regulatory issues arising in employment, compliance, investigations, cross-border data handling, and retention practices
- Manage outside counsel and other external advisers across employment, compliance, and related regulatory matters
- Support customer, partner, and internal integrity commitments, including compliance questionnaires, certifications, audits, and executive or Board-level reporting where required
- Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing global team
What You Need to Succeed:
- Significant post-qualification experience in employment law and corporate ethics and compliance, gained in-house and/or at a top-tier law firm, with meaningful experience supporting international businesses across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong employment law expertise, with experience handling complex and sensitive matters across a broad range of jurisdictions and business settings
- Proven experience building, leading, or materially improving compliance programmes in a practical, business-focused way
- Experience leading teams and developing talent in a global environment
- Experience partnering with Privacy or Data Protection teams on workforce and compliance-related privacy matters, including investigations, records management, incident response, regulatory inquiries, and cross-border data issues
- Experience bringing structure and sound judgment to fast-moving, ambiguous, or high-stakes situations
- Strong communication skills, executive presence, and the judgment to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- High ownership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with pace and discipline
- A collaborative, practical, and solutions-oriented approach, with the credibility to build trust across functions and levels
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Based in Dublin or London, with the right to work in the applicable jurisdiction

- Experience working in a global technology or SaaS business
- Experience implementing or overseeing third-party screening, diligence, or KYC-related frameworks and tools
- Experience owning and refreshing global codes of conduct, policies, and training programmes
- Experience leading handbook harmonisation, template standardisation, and working time compliance assessments across jurisdictions
- Experience selecting and managing external providers, including training, immigration, and investigation support vendors
- Experience supporting customer-facing teams through standard compliance language for customer queries, RFPs, and audit requests
- Additional language skills
